    Fun Things In The Area To Do!
    El Paso County’s Winter Hobby Wine Competition. Do you make your own wine? Are you interested in entering your wine in a competition to get valuable feedback on your wines from an expert judging panel? Enter your best homemade wines in the El Paso County Winter Hobby Wine Competition. All entries must be submitted by February 2; cost is $10 per entry. All proceeds from the competition and the awards reception will go to the Friends of El Paso County Nature Centers. This special event is open to everyone (over 21), whether you make your own wine or just appreciate wine. Come to sample various wines, enjoy light h’orderves, and mingle with others who appreciate wine. $20 per person, pre‐registrati􏰀on required: call 719 ‐520‐6977 or go to and search for Hobby Wine Compe􏰀􏰀tition. NOTE: This is not an AWS-COS sponsored event.
  2. Tuesday February 5, 2019 - 6:30pm
    Chinese New Year Pairing
    Location: Boz Catering 6628a Delmonico Dr Colorado Springs, CO 80919 AWS Members: $37; Non-Members & Guests $42 Come join us for the Chinese "Lunar" New Year pairing. The Chinese New Year is also called "Spring Festival" in modern China and occurs on February 5, 2019. We will enjoy foods from China paired with wines from Spain (Casa de Valor Cava, 2011 Muriel Rioja Reserva, and Lustau Sherry), Germany (2016 St. Christopher Gewurtz), and France (2015 Pierre Sparr One). This event shows to be an interesting and very good one. RSVP, payment, and cancellation deadline is: January 31, 2019
NOTICE:  Event fees are used to purchase wines, food, and rent venue space for that event. Fees are non-refundable after the deadline/cutoff date.
